105 TEENAGERS DETAINED AT BLACK METAL CONCERT
[ SEREMBAN ] Police detained 105 teenagers, including four women , at
a black metal concert held at a temple hall here on Saturday.
Seremban OCPD ACP Hasanuddin Hassan said police raided the hall at 8.20pm
when the concert was under way.
He said police took action as not only was the concert was against Islam
but the organisers had also misused the police permit issued to them.
"Urine tests were also conducted on the teenagers and 30 of them
tested positive for drugs.
"The rest were released after their statements were taken."
he said when contacted here.
Three of the teenagers were also referred to the Negri Sembilan Religious
Affairs Department as their conduct went against Islam.
He said police issued the permit for the event between 2pm and 8pm to
a silat organisation but the same permit was used for the concert.
Meanwhile, the honorary secretary of the National Malaysian Silat Association
(Pesaka) in Negri Sembilan, Ismail Syed Mohamad, said he was not informed
by any silat body of the event.
