海賊版DVD工場を急襲

[ セメンイー ] 国内流通省は昨日（17-Jan)、国内数箇所の違法DVD、VCD工場の摘発を行った。
ヴィララヤ工業公園の工場ではブランクCDを生産するライセンスしか所持していないにもかかわらず、海賊版の生産を行っていた。
１ヶ月にもわたる内偵調査ののち、同省は工場からRM２千万相当の機械を押収した。あわせて、生産に従事していた１９人のネパール人労働者を連行した。手入れは午前６時に行われたが、スチール製のドアを開けて、工場内に踏み込むのに３０分もの時間を費やしたという。調査官が工場に入ったところ、従業員はあわてて海賊版DVDやVCDを処分しようとしていた。
工場内には、適所にCCTVカメラが設置されており、敷地内では番犬もいて、摘発に対する警戒の様子がみてとれたという。

Blitz on DVD pirates

RM20m replicating machine seized

[ SEMENYIH ] The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry yesterday seized several optical disc replicationg machines from a factory that made pirated DVDs and VCDs.
The factory in Villaraya Industrial Park was licensed to only produce blank CDs.
The seizure of the machines ,worth about RM20 million , followed a month-long surveillance on the factory.

Nineteen Nepalese workers were detained in the 6am raid by a team of enforcement officers from the Ministry's Intellectual Property Protection Unit,led by Che Ibrahim Ali.
During the raid, the officers had to scale a wall to gain entry into the factory and spent about 30 minutes forcing open the main steel door.
Upon gaining entry, they saw the workers trying to dispose of pirated DVDs and VCDs using crushing machines.
The Malay Mail learnt that the factory was equipped with closed-circuit cameras installed at strategic locations.
Several guard dogs were also used as 'look-outs' in the premises.
