Baby hamper a 'giant' letdown
[ Malaysia ] WONG LI KHING is disappointed with the baby hampers being
sold by Giant hypermarket as the contents are dirty and spoilt.
"I received two Giant hampers from a relative for my newborn from
and one of it has spoilt items in it.
"Some of the items had been repacked several times as I can see tape
markes on the boxes.
"The mug was dirty and old and even the pacifier couldn't be used
as it was so sticky.
"This is unbelieveable , as Japlo is a well recognised brand , and
those items should be fresh although they come in hampers. What more when
they are for a newborn,"says Li Khing.
There should be some inspection and quality control over hamper products
to ensure they are in good condition,"adds Li Khing.
●A Giant spokesman from its Infant and Children's department says the
hampers were packed by Japlo's merchandiser and not Giant.
"We will look into the matter.
"Giant apologises for the inconvenience and will get back to Li Khing
on the matter." she said.
