天皇陛下が６月に来馬

【東京】日本の天皇陛下明仁が来月初め、マレーシアを訪問する。マレーシアのアブドゥラ首相は昨日（23/5）皇居で天皇陛下に謁見した。アブドゥラ首相は記者団にたいし、各種プログラムの視察を目的に天皇陛下がペラ州を訪問されると伝え、マレーシアは受け入れの準備があることを発表した。
また、これに先立って月曜日の夕方に行われたシンガポールのリー・クアン・ユー前首相との会見で両国間の諸問題について意見を交わした。この中で両者は、マレーシアとシンガポールは隣国としてお互いに緊密な関係を維持し、両国の発展に協力することを確認した。

Akihito to visit Perak next month

[ TOKYO ] Emperor Akihito of Japan will make a working visit to Malaysia early next month.
Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told Malaysian newsmen yesterday that the Japanese monarch would visit Perak,where various programmes have been arranged.
The Prime Minister earlier had an audience with the emperor at the Imperial Palace here.
"I told His Majesty that we are ready to receive him. I also briefed the emperor about the purpose of my visit to Japan ," Abdullah said.
He also had a brief meeting with Singapore Mentor Minister Lee Kuan Yew on Monday evening, during which they discussed regional issues.
"We talked about China , India and other regional matters.
"We also noted that being close neighbours,relations between us must benefit both sides,"Abdullah said.
