The passport, which has not been issued in Malaysia yet, will be issued
in stages in six foreign missions, with Singapore taking the lead.

Nur Fatehah's mother Rosemawati Abdul Halim,30,a Malaysian with Singapore
permanent residence, said she was surprised when told that her daughter
could collect her passport the next day when she submitted the application
at the high commission on Thursday.
"This is a good system as we no longer have to wait a long time to
get our passports renewed," she said, adding that her husband, also
a Malaysian, works in the repuclic as a technician.
Mohd Radzi explained that apart from being embedded with a computer chip, the
new passport also has a hologram on the page bearing the holders' particulars.
The hologram consist of the hibiscus flower,National Emblem and map of
Malaysia.
"We will introduce this passport in Kuala Lumpur later," he
said, adding that previously it took avout 10 working days for those applying
