Mum loses boy in mall
KUALA LUMPUR: A 31-year-old mother is pining for her
six-year-old son who went missing while they were on a shopping trip in
Kajang.
Yee Thong Kah Kit Disappeared when he and his mother,Thong Siew Sien,were
walking towards a shopping complex near their apartment in Sungai Chua
around 5pm on Saturday.
Thong's friend,identified only as Ng,26,and her eight-month-old baby boy,accompanied
Thong and Kah Kit.
They approached a flight of stairs leading to the supermarket,and Thong
took her eyes off Kah Kit to help pull the baby's pram up the stairs.
The women turned around to ask Kah Kit to hurry up but he was missing.
They then went to the supermarket and asked the workers there if they
saw Kah Kit but no one did. Thong then lodged a police report.
A Kajang district police head quarters spokesman said Thong believed her
son was kidnapped.
In her report,she claimed that she had checked with her family members
and friends but they did not know where Kah Kit was.
She also called her ex-husband who is now living in Miri,Sarawak but he
too denied knowing his son's whereabouts.
Ng,when contacted,said that Thong was very distressed and had not been
eating well.
"The only thing she talks about is her son. We hope that the public
can help us,"said Ng,adding that they were shocked over the boy's
disappearance.
"There is nothing wrong with the boy and he is happy being with his
mother. His mother wants him back,"she added.
The police spokesman said the case had been classified as a missing person
report.
