SPM試験全国で始まる
The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)の試験がマレーシアで始まった。この試験はフォーム５の学生が学力や職業適性を判断するために受験する。受験生の1人、ヌルル・アマニヤー・ヤティムさん（１７）は緊張した面持ちで試験の臨んだ。「試験を受けるにあたり、たいへんナーバスで怖いけど、良い結果が出ることを期待しています」とインタヴューに応じてくれた。SPM試験はマレーシア国内2909箇所で416,717人が一斉に受験する。試験は来月の8日まで行われる。

Facing the first day of the SPM exams
FIRST-DAY JITTERS : The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM)
examination began yesterday with Form Five students sitting for the technical
and vocational elective papers.
Among them were those from Kuala Lumpur's SMK Desa Perdana's pioneer batch
of 20 technical and vocational students.According to the school's principal
Nik Kamariah Nik Abdullah, the candidates were the only ones in Kuala
Lumpur who sat for the Arc and Gas Welding (Kimpalan Arka dan Gas) paper.
When interviewed before the exam began, Nurul Amaniyah Yatim, 17, admitted
that she felt very "nervous and scared" but hoped that everything
would turn out well.
A total of 416,717 candidates are sitting for SPM at 2,909 centres nationwide.
The examination ends on Dec 8.
