ムシャラフ大統領が来馬

プトラジャヤ ：パキスタンのムシャラフ大統領が昨日マレーシアを公式訪問し、マレーシアのアブドラ首相と二国間協議を行った。会談は中東情勢の話し合いを中心に１時間半ほどとなった。

アブドラ首相は外相のダトゥック・スリ・シェド・ハミッド・アルバー氏など数人の大臣を引き連れ、またムシャラフ大統領には側近の外相ハーシッド・カスミ氏が帯同した。

昨夜はプトラジャヤのマリオットホテルで歓迎レシェプションが行われた。昨日夕方5時半に来馬したムシャラフ大統領は今晩にはマレーシアを離れる予定。

Musharraf begins official visit

PUTRAJAYA : Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf, who is here for an official visit, held bilateral talks with Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yesterday.

The two leaders met for one-and-a-half hours and it is understood that Abdullah and Musharraf discussed various issues, including the Middle East crisis and the peace process.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by several ministers and senior officials including Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, while Musharraf's entourage included Pakistan Foreign Minister Hurshid Kasuri.

Last night, Abdullah feted Musharraf and his entourage to a dinner at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel.

Musharraf arrived at 5.30pm yesterday and will leave this evening.
