愛読者のための特売

マレーシア：販売業者管理職のオン・ティアン・チャンさんは、今週の水曜日から日曜日まで倉庫の中にある本を特売として売り出している。今回の特売の目的は倉庫の整理と増築であり、倉庫の中保存してある本は最大30％の割引で売っているとチャンさんは話した。倉庫の中に保存されている本は新旧両方の本が置かれてある。中にはチャールズ・ディケンスやダニエル・デフォーといった有名著者が書いた本もあり、ハードカバーで作られた本なども破格の値段で売られている。また漫画などの単行本なども売り出されており、愛読者にとっては嬉しい特売となっている。在庫一掃セールはペタリンジャヤのNo 5, Jalan 13/4で午前９時から午後６時半まで行われている。

A sale for book lovers

MALAYSIA: IF you are an avid reader, then the MPH Distributors warehouse sale is the place to visit. The sale, which started on Wednesday, is on until tomorrow.

MPH Distributors sales manager Ong Tean Chai said this was their biggest warehouse sale so far.

“This time, we have even put up additional extensions to store the large number of books for sale.

“Customers will find not just old titles but also the latest books.

“A minimum discount of 30% of the retail price is given for these books that are a great buy,'' said Ong.

For RM3 each, one can buy books from the Wordsworth Classics range such as by famous authors like Charles Dickens and Daniel Defoe.

A myriad of hardcover books are also available, covering subjects like cooking, pets and gardening as well as feng shui and children's books. There are also Lonely Planet travel guide books, all sold at irresistible prices.

One of the latest Lonely Planet books is titled “Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore'' and is being sold for RM47.

There are also books by Judith McNaught, Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steel and Stephen King as well as books for fans of Lord of The Rings.

Those who love television series like Charm, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel can also get their hands on these books for only RM3 each.

Other than books, there is a good selection of mangas and comics. The March issue of the Reader's Digest can also be bought here for RM12 instead of the market price of RM15.

The warehouse sale is being held at No 5, Jalan 13/4, Petaling Jaya, from 9am to 6.30pm.
