幼い姉妹、列車にはねられる

[クランタン]　木曜日午後７時ごろ、クランタンで少女２人を巻き込む列車事故がトンネル内で起きた。姉のヌルル・アニス（５）ちゃんは病院に運ばれたが死亡、妹のヌルル・アインちゃんは病院で治療を受けている。
地元警察の調べでは、姉妹は７歳の兄弟と１６歳のおばといっしょに祖父の家までトンネルと通って向かっていたという。１０代のおば、ヌルファティハー（写真）は近くの村人に助けを求め、はねられた二人を病院に運んだ。
おばのノリダワティ（２３）は妹のヌルル・アインが回復しているといい、また、日ごろからこどもたちがトンネルを通って祖父のところへ行っていたことを語った。

Train kills 5-year-old,sister injured

[Kulantan]A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl was killed and her youngest sister seriously injured when they were hit by an express train inside a tunnel at Sungai Mengkuang,Manik Urai,Kelantan,last Thursday night.
The impact caused Nurul Anis nasri and Nurul Ain,three,to be flung into a drain,in the incident which occurred about 7pm.
Nurul Anis died on arrival at the distruct hospital,while her sister is recuperating at the Universiti Sains malaysia Hospital(HUSM)in Kubang Krian.
District police deputy chief,Deputy Superintendent Shahurinain Jais said that,the sisters,accompanied by a seven-year-old sibling and a 16-year-old aunt,were walking towards their grandfater's house through the tunnel.
A Tumpat-bound train from Gua Musang passed by and hit Nurul Anis and Nurul Ain.
Shahurinain said the teenage aunt,known only as Nurfatihah,sought help from nearby villagers,who sent the two siblings to the district hospital.
He said Nurul Anis who suffered head and body injuries was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital while Nurul Ain sustained facial injuries.
Meanwhile,the siblings' mother,Norizan Salleh,28,who is five months pregnant,refused to be interviewed when met at HUSM yesterday.
However,Norizan's sister Noridawati,23,said Nurul Ain's condition was improving.
She said it was normal for the siblings to take the tunnelto visit their grandfater,adding that Nurul Ain was expected to be discharged from the hospital soon.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad operations executive Ismail Abdul Karim said the incident did not halt train services.
He said it was the first time an accident had occurred in the area this year.
