タンカーを狙った海賊捕まる

[ ランカウィ ] 昨日マレーシア船籍のタンカーを強奪しようと試みていた海賊が捕まった。海賊は10人でいずれもインドネシア人。海賊は海上警察に取り囲まれ、抵抗することなく投降した。インドネシア人船長と二人の乗組員は海賊に襲われたときの怪我の治療でランカウィ病院で治療を受けている。ケダ警察によると、タンカーの上で１メーターのなたが発見されたが、その他の海賊が使ったとみられる武器は海上に破棄されていたという。

Brave seaman foils raid on oil tanker;10 pirates detained

{ LANGKAWI] Ten Indonesian pirates surrendered without resistance yesterday after their attempt to seize a Malaysian-registered oil tanker off Langkawi was foiled by a crewman who dived into the sea,stole their speed boat and then led a police team back to the vessel.
The pirates surrendered to the marine police at 3.40pm,almost 12hours after barding the 90-metre-long tanker,Nepline Delima,whic was registered in Port Klang and owned by Shar Alam-based shipping company Nepline Berhad.
Kedah police chief Datuk Supian Ahmat said only a one-metre-long machete was found on the tanker while other weapons used by the pirates,believed to be firearms,had been thrown used overboard.
He said the captain of the tanker,an Indonesian,and two crewmen were taken to Langkawi Hospital to be treated for injuries on their heads and faces sustained from being beaten by the pirates.
