NOISY FOREINGNERS PICKED UP AT PARK
[ AMPANG JAYA ] Twenty-eight foreigners including three women,were picked
up at a public park near Pandan Mewah low-cost flats last night following
complaints that they were making too mach noise.
All of them were found to have overstayed in Malaysia.
A Bangladeshi was also found in possession of a passport with a forged
sticker.
They were detained in a joint operation by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council
and Selangor Immigration Department.
MPAJ enforcement director Addy Hissham Elias said the council acted after
receiving numerous complaints from flat dwellers that the immigrants were
a nuisance at the park.
"They were noisy and often littered the park with liquor bottles,"he
said.
Earlier,the team conducted checks at the Pandan Jaya food court and arrested
18 Indonesians,including 12 women.
All were working at the food court,mainly as cooks and helpers.
"They were found to have overstayed with expired passports,"said
Immigration's enforcement deputy assistant director Md Najib Ibrahim.
Another 11 Indonesians were detained at Taman Kencana.
"All the immigrants will be sent to the Semenyih detention centre
befor deportation,"he said.
