SingTelが業績を伸ばす

[ シンガポール ] 東南アジア最大の電話会社SingTelが６月までの第一四半期の業績を発表、国内市場は７億９６００万シンガポールドル（ＲＭ１８億）の増益（１３．７％）で、総売り上げは３２億１０００万シンガポールドル（６．３％向上）を計上。そのうち、インド、インドネシア、タイ、フィリピンでの海外市場での税引き前の売り上げが総売り上げのほぼ半分を占めた。リー・シエン・ヤンＣＥＯは過去４年間で１１５億米ドルを海外市場に投資している。

A man walking in front of SingTel sign at its headquarters in Singapore yesterday.SingTel ,Southeast Asia's largest phone company,said its first quarter to June net profit rose 13.7 per cent to S$796 million(RM1.8billion)as its key regional units made up for stagnant home market.Sales rose 6.3 per cent to S$3.21billion.Bharti Televentures Ltd in India,PT Telikomunikasi Selular in Indonesia and cell phone units in Thailand and the Philippines accouted for almost half of SingTel's earnings before tax in the quarter.CEO Lee Hsien Yang has spent about US$11.5 billion (RM43 billion)on overseas investments in four years as growth slows in Singapore.
