Murder suspect caught after 21 years
FOR 21 years,a 48-year-old businessman managed to bury his past and got
away for a crime he allegedly committed while working in Singapore.
The Malaysian led a normal life,set up a business and got married despite
being on Singapore's wanted list for a murder in 1984.
However,his luck ran out last Friday when police uncovered his identity
during an 11.30pm randam check at an entertainment outlet in Taman Shamelin
in Cheras,Selangor.
The suspect , a father of one,was detained after a check revealed that
he is wanted in Singapore.
Cheras CID chief,Superintendent Tan Ah Chua said the man who is being
held until Thursday ,will be handed to Singapore police soon for further
action.
It is learned that the suspect had fled Singapore after he was involved
in a fight which ended in a death.
He returned to Malaysia and has been keeping a low profile since then.
