ニコルが準決勝進出を決める

[ スカッシュ] ブリティッシュ・オープン・チャンピオンのニコル・デービットが昨日（10/29）行われたキャロル・ウェイムラー・オープンでニュージーランドのシェリー・キッチンを7-9、9-6、9-5、9-5で破り、見事に準決勝進出を決めた。準決勝でニコルはヴィッキーボトライト（英国）と戦う。ワールド・チャンピオンのヴァネッサ・アトキンソンはフランスのイサベル・ストアーに5-9、5-9、9-6、9-3、9-3で敗れた。

NICOL in semi-finals

BRITISH OPEN champion Nicol David survived a scare before beating New Zealand's Shelley Kitchen 7-9,9-6,9-5,9-5 in the quarter-finals of the Carol Weymuller Open yesterday.
The world No3 will now play England's Vicki Botwright - who beat compatriot Alison Waters-- in the semi-finals.
World champion Vanessa Atkinson suffered a stunning 5-9,5-9,9-6,9-3,9-3 loss to France's Isabells Stoeher. Isabelle will meet Australia's Natalie Grinham in the other semi-final.
Meanwhile , Ong Beng Hee's run at the Motor City Open came to an end at the hands of world No2 Jonathan Power.The Canadian won 11-7,11-3,11-7 in 45-minutes.
England's Nick Matthew,Scotland's John White and Egypt's Wael El Hindi are the other semi-finals.
