不法屋台バングサに舞い戻る

[ バングサ ] 「市はジャラン・テラウィ２とジャラン・テラウィ４で不法に商売しているホーカー（屋台）を一掃する時期にきている」住民のクーさんは語る。旅行者に人気のスポット、バングサ・バルで不法屋台（ホーカー）の増加が目立っている。また、ホーカー利用した後の道路は汚くなり、町並みの景観を悪くすると、近隣住民は苛立ちを隠せない。年の初め、市は３０以上あったホーカーに対し、近くのジョリー･グリーン・ホーカー・センターに移るように指導した。しかし、数ヶ月もたたないうちに、７つのホーカーが舞い戻ってきたという。

Illegal hawkers back in Bangsar

IT is time City Hall gets tough with illegal hawkers along Jalan Telawi 2 and 4 in Bangsar Baru.
KHOO,a resident, calls on City Hall enforcement officers to visit the two busy streets and get the illegal hawkers there to cease operation.
"Earlier this year, City Hall directed the 30-odd hawkers in Jalan Telawi 2 to move into the nearby Jolly Green Hawker Centre," he says.
"All complied with the directive.However , after a few months, about seven of them re-appeared along the pavements, and even set up stall along Jalan Telawi 4."
KHOO says the hawkers will gradually dirty the pavements which City Hall recently cleaned up.
"This will tarnish the image of Bangsar Baru which is popular with tourists,"he said.
